THE UNION NEEDS YOUR HELP

Teamster Local 877 Executive Board is seeking assistance from its ConocoPhillips Process members who have either been denied shift relief pay or have been harassed when seeking shift relief pay. Our request for consistency in the application of the Company’s policy regarding overtime pay seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

In some Section/ Units in the yard shift relief pay is going fine.  Poly Propylene units is one, all members are paid for their shift relief time when the member puts in the time. However in some parts of the yard, we understand that members have been harassed when seeking O/T for shift relief. They have been told shift relief pay is not for normal shift reliefs but is only paid when relaying extra issues or events that occur during a shift.  We would like to document instances of this or similar statements.  You need to know that such statements are not true -  Shift relief time pay is exactly what it sounds like: pay for shift relief.  

We are not looking for a handout, we are simply asking Management to comply with its obligations.   

Help the Union help you. The check you received was due to our members standing up and helping the Union . It’s time to stand up again.
