Infineum

Infineum's Bayway Chemical Plant is one of three bargaining units in Local 877. Owned and operated by Exxon since the 1960's, Infineum was formed in 1999 as a result of a joint venture by Exxonmobil and Shell. This manufacturing facility produces high tech and high quality lube oil additives and ATF. The 24 hour 365 day operation is staffed by over a hundred Teamster pipe-fitters, welders, electricians, machinists, carpenters and process technicians. We are in the second year of a five year contract, with a wage reopener in 2006.

Infineum and IBT #877 enjoy a true partnership in safety, benefiting our membership and the company's bottom line. Bayway Chemical Plant has earned the prestigious STAR (safety through accountability and recognition) status from OSHA Voluntary Protection Program. Union leadership and management are active in the Voluntary Protection Program Participants Association.
